Throwback to a beautiful winter shoot at the studio property. Photographing children can be a challenge but it is one of my absolute favourites. I love getting into their little personalities and learning what makes them smile. It takes a long time to pick up the camera at these sessions but taking the time to get to know them first makes the world of difference!

What's the number one thing you look for when you're searching for a photographer? Is it price, style, location, personality, etc? If you've been looking for a photographer you've probably realized that it can be a little overwhelming at times and I'm here to help you in your search with my 4 best tips on finding the perfect photographer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Personality - make sure to meet in person or via zoom. A portrait session should be a personal experience. Ensure your goals and personalities align.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Experience - look for a photographer who listens to YOUR goals for the session, but also one who offers helpful suggestions based on their professional experience. Let's face it, we're not all rockstars in front of the camera and having guidance along the way is key!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Style - you will be drawn to a certain style so make sure to explore your photographers entire portfolio. Look for lots of examples of their work, and even check out their referrals. One photographers style of shooting will not be for everyone and that's ok. Find the look that speaks to you and investigate.

4. Price - let's be real, pricing is important. If you find someone who's work you love and personality you jive with, ask honest questions about pricing and outline your budget and goals for the session. Your photographer should walk you through all steps of the booking process and outline the investment so it makes sense to you.
